Do’s & Dont’s When Choosing Your Wedding Dress

Do’s & Dont’s When Choosing Your Wedding Dress

  1. Do match your dress to the location:  Matching your dress to the location can reduce your search time. For example, is it a daytime ceremony on the beach? You’ll want to choose a dress appropriate for the location’s weather.
  2. Don’t start late: Start at least 6 months before your wedding. Decide where you want to go and call stores in advance for designer dresses, prices, additional accessories and provision of alterations.
  3. Do set a budget: Set a budget and tell the sales-person your budget before they start bringing out gowns. Account for extra bits like the veil, undergarments, accessories and professional pressing or steaming.
  4. Don’t arrive without a backup:  Whether its a backup dress, jewellery or shoes, make sure to bring extra. You might feel you’re more comfortable in your backup dress or maybe you want to replace your shoes last minute.
